In the United States, Buzzi Unicem operates 9 cement plants, with an annual capacity of approx 8.6 million tons/year and a market share, in the whole of the country, of about 9%. The distribution network, which greatly benefits from river transport opportunities, includes 30 terminals. In the second half of 2009 a new production line will be inaugurated in Selma, MO with total production capacity equal to 2.3 million tons/year, increasing of 1.0 million the existing capacity.

Buzzi Unicem USA, which stems from the merger, early in 2004, of RC Cement (Buzzi Unicem) and Lone Star Industries (Dyckerhoff) serves the Midwest and North-East of the country.

Alamo Cement is based in Texas, with a remarkable vertical integration in the ready-mix concrete and natural aggregates sector, where it operates through 80 batching plants, 492 mixer-trucks and 4 aggregates quarries.

Overall headcount amounts to 2,440 units.
