Unical, the Buzzi Unicem company that produces ready-mix concrete in Italy, has welcomed the recent Italian and European standards as an incentive to optimize the production process and has initiated a project named "H2NO" to eliminate the practice of adding water at the construction site. The project underscores the company’s commitment to supply concrete in accordance with controlled and certified procedures, and the product is in fact delivered to the construction site in sealed mixer trucks and in a perfectly workable state.  This procedure ensures that the concrete meets the specified strength, exposure and consistency classes without being altered at the construction site by the risky practice of adding water, thereby jeopardizing the product’s strength and irreparably impacting the durability of the construction.
