Buzzi Unicem operates in the country east of the Ural Mountains, with Suchoi Log cement plant, located at about 100 km from Jekaterinburg.

The plant has been part of the group since 1994. It serves the Ural and western Siberia markets; its range of products includes special cements for oil wells strengthening.

In 2010 a new dry-process production line, with annual production capacity of 1.2 million tons was put on stream. The plant total capacity is now 3,6 million tons. The country's employees are 1,049.
