Methodology

The Buzzi Unicem group’s Sustainability Report presents the social, environmental, and economic performance associated with the group’s activities in the various countries where it is active. It follows the approach established during the last few years. The Report’s structure and contents are based on a rationale of continuity, which in the current year featured refinement of the reporting system and reduction of publication times.
The Report is published in two languages (Italian and English).

Process

Our Sustainability Report is the result of a structured process performed by a task force set up at corporate HQ level and formed by various functions representing a cross-section of all areas connected with the group’s social, environmental, and economic reporting, working without the aid of outside advisors. Starting with the official announcement by the CEO to the entire group of the Sustainability Report project, the task force defined the information approach to be used (the Sustainability reporting package) and the key country contacts to be involved for data gathering.
The report reporting packages received by individual area managers of Italian and international companies were then collected and consolidated by task force members for their respective areas of responsibility.

Guidelines

The Buzzi Unicem group Sustainability Report is drawn up according to the Sustainability Reporting Guide-lines issued by Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3, application level A+ (self declared).
