TYPE III

TYPE III cements are obtained by grinding clinker, gypsum and granulated blast furnace slag, and are available in compressive strength classes 32.5 R – 42.5 N.

These cements are suitable for preparing standard and special concrete and other products that require greater resistance to chemical attacks and a controlled development of the heat of hydration.  In particular mixtures and under defined, controlled curing conditions, they can be used to produce precast and/or prestressed structures.

Conformity

  • European standard EN 197/1, which defines and specifies standard cements (separated into compressive strength classes and types), compliance criteria and the respective regulations, chemical/physical/mechanical requirements and the constituent requirements
  • European regulation 305/2011 (CPR), which establishes the harmonized standards for the declaration of performance and for the use of the EC marking for building products
