On October 5, 2025, the Buzzi Unicem plant in Siniscola hosted the seventh stage of Family and Friends, the initiative promoted by Buzzi Unicem and Unical that opens the doors of production sites to employees, their families and friends.

The event attracted more than one thousand participants, confirming itself as a highly anticipated occasion and an important opportunity for engagement between the company and the local community.

During the day, visitors had the opportunity to tour the quarry, the plant and the ready-mix concrete facility, guided by the technical staff who explained the different stages of the production process and answered questions from participants.

Several local associations that have long collaborated with the company on cultural and social projects also contributed to the initiative: A.S.D. Valkirie Volley, Università della Terza Età di Siniscola, A.S.D. Pedale Siniscolese, Associazione La Fenice and Associazione Siniscola 90.

The day was animated by performances from the folk group “Cuccuru e Janas” and the choir “Su Siniscolesu”, who presented traditional Sardinian songs and dances. Two performances of #IMPROSAFE, the format developed by Buzzi Unicem to promote a participatory safety culture, were also featured.

For younger participants, educational games and workshops were organized on topics such as waste sorting, recycling and healthy nutrition.

The Family and Friends event in Siniscola proved to be a moment of sharing and openness, strengthening the bond between the company, its people and the local community.
