Characteristics

All our cements are validated by Environmental Product Declarations through the EPD certification system, which ensures transparency of information on the environmental impact of the supply chain and accurately quantifies its impact.
The Global Warming Potential (GWP) indicator represents the carbon footprint of each individual binder, where the products that make up the CGreen line are therefore the best performing from an environmental standpoint.
The subdivision criteria of the CGreen line are thus based on the carbon footprint of the entire supply chain process, according to the standards of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) with the following breakdown;

Products with a GWP higher than 800 have a greater environmental impact and do not fall within the CGreen line. Products with a low environmental impact fall between 700 and 800, while below the threshold of 700 GWP we find those products that contribute most effectively to containing climate change.
In addition, all cements produced, whether or not they are part of the CGreen line, from now on will indicate their recycled content, which is useful for contributing to the improvement of the circularity indices of ready-mixed concrete and, more generally speaking, of the construction solutions that use our cements.

In line with the principles of sustainable development, we are well aware of how important it is to consider the environmental effects of our cements throughout the entire lifecycle of the buildings, searching for materials that are increasingly environmentally friendly and circular.

For the products that belong to the CGreen line, we have opted for a partial substitution of clinker with additional materials coming from other production processes, such as blast furnace slag, fly ash and artificial gypsum, which complement the use of already consolidated active additions such as pozzolan, constantly striving to maximize the performance and environmental efficiency of our products.
