Level II University Master in “Tecniche Avanzate per la Gestione degli Impianti di produzione del Cemento” – 3rd EDITION

Starting from 2020, Buzzi Unicem has successfully developed the TagCem program, unique in its kind: the Second Level University Master’s Degree in Advanced Techniques for the Management of Cement Production Plants, in partnership with the Politecnico di Torino.
The aim of TagCem is to train professionals who, at the end of the two-year course, will be employed in operational roles throughout the production chain.

The third edition of TagCem begins
This third edition invites those who have already obtained a Master’s Degree in STEM disciplines to seize the opportunity to undertake a high-level training path, specifically created for a future career in the sector, with an educational offer that combines Company and University.

Buzzi has designed and developed, together with the Politecnico di Torino, the TagCem study path, which includes an intensive program of theory and practice, with over 1,250 hours spent in the company.
The choice to dedicate a high percentage of hours in the field is intended to allow a faster integration of future talents into the real dynamics of business processes. For this reason, the course includes not only essays and exams but also project work activities with direct interaction between apprentices and Buzzi instructors.

The course, which will start in May 2026 and will last 24 months, will engage young talents in various topics, including cement production, CO₂ reduction and management, Project Management, and business economics; at the end of the course, students will have access to one of the nine involved Departments.

Through the Advanced Techniques for the Management of Cement Production Plants path, Buzzi aims to promote the entry of young talents with a scientific background into a growing sector with great potential. The building materials industry is constantly evolving: innovation and the development of new techniques in the management and organization of production processes require increasingly prepared professionals capable of supporting this growth.

The master’s program
The main features of the program are:
•    Program duration: 24 months;
•    “Blended” teaching: academic lessons at the Politecnico di Torino, specific in-depth courses at the Casale Monferrato site by internal instructors, “training on the job” at Italian plants;
•    Assignment to an internal tutor for the entire duration of the course;
•    Constant monitoring of learning by the relevant Departments;
•    Final project work on projects with real industrial impact;
•    Opportunity for permanent employment at the end of the program.

Students are hired at the Group’s registered office in Casale Monferrato with a high-level apprenticeship and research contract (Art.45 - Legislative Decree 81/2015) before the start of the master; during the program, they operate in various Headquarters Departments.

The first two editions of the TagCem Master have been the launching pad for over 20 young people who started their professional career within the Buzzi Group, both in Headquarters Departments and in Italian and foreign plants.
