TYPE II

 

TYPE II cements are obtained by grinding clinker, gypsum and natural additives such as limestone and certain pozzolanic materials, and are available in strength classes 32.5 R and 42.5 R.

These cements are useful for preparing simple and reinforced concrete and mortar for normal applications.

Conformity

  • European standard UNI EN 197/1, which defines and specifies standard cements (separated into strength class and type), compliance criteria and the respective regulations, chemical/physical/mechanical requirements and the constituent requirements
  • European regulation 305/2011 (CPR), which establishes the harmonized standards for the declaration of performance and for the use of the CE marking for building products

Type II Cements

Type II/A-LL 32,5 R

This cement may contain between 80-94% clinker and between 6-20% limestone. A maximum of 5% minor constituents is permitted.

Type II/A-LL 42,5 R

Type II/B-LL 32,5 R

This cement may contain between 65-79% clinker and between 21-35% limestone. A maximum of 5% minor constituents is permitted.

Type II/B-P 32,5 R

This cement may contain between 65-79% clinker and between 21-35% natural pozzolan. A maximum of 5% minor constituents is permitted.
