Great success for the Family and Friends event in Siniscola: over 1,000 participants at the Buzzi Unicem and Unical initiative
On Sunday, October 5, the seventh stage of the highly anticipated Family and Friends event took place in Siniscola. Promoted by Buzzi Unicem and Unical, the initiative opened the doors of the production sites to employees, their families and friends. The event was met with great enthusiasm, attracting more than 1,000 participants.
It was a special day that allowed employees and their families to discover the plant from a new perspective. Visitors had the opportunity to tour the quarry, the plant and the ready-mix concrete facility, accessing production areas along a guided route led by the technical staff. The team explained the different activities with expertise and availability, answering questions and satisfying the curiosity of all participants.
The program also included numerous activities, with the participation of several local organizations that have actively collaborated with the company for years to support cultural and social initiatives. Among them: A.S.D. Valkirie Volley, Università della Terza Età di Siniscola, A.S.D. Pedale Siniscolese, Associazione La Fenice and Associazione Siniscola 90.
Adding a special touch to the day were performances by the folk group “Cuccuru e Janas” and the choir “Su Siniscolesu”, who entertained participants with traditional Sardinian songs and dances, creating moments of genuine cultural sharing. The event also featured two performances of #IMPROSAFE, a format successfully tested in several Italian Buzzi Unicem plants, designed to strengthen the message of a shared and participatory safety culture.
Younger visitors were also able to take part in educational games and workshops focused on current topics such as waste separation, proper recycling practices and the importance of healthy nutrition.
The Family and Friends event in Siniscola once again proved to be a valuable opportunity to strengthen the bond between the company and the local community, in the spirit of transparency, participation and a sense of belonging.
